Are You Caught by Section 660A?

Section 660A does not being applied to all small businesses.

Section 660A DOES NOT APPLY if:

If you spouse does not own any shares in your Company.
If your spouse owns shares in the business and performs a significant amount of work for the Company resulting in the bringing in of income.

Section 660A COULD APPLY if:

your spouse owns shares in the business.
Your spouse does not perform any significant amount of work for the Company

If you believe that you might be caught by Section 660A then you should speak to your accountant and seek professional advice.

Bear in mind however, that with around 500,000 companies possibly affected it is impossible that all could be investigated. Thus, the chances of an investigation are very low.
